Hello. Today we've got Graeme Warring from Australian Karaoke distributors. Graeme has been supplying me with karaoke backing tracks and karaoke equipment for quite a number of years now. So hello Graeme.

Hi Peter

So Graeme, what, for the sake of people watching this video is karaoke?

Karaoke is essentially the opportunity for everybody to sing their favourite pop music  with music provided by a manufacturer which has the backing music of the pop song and the lyrics displayed.

And what do you consider is the most important thing that people need to know about karaoke?

The most important thing about karaoke is that it is for everybody. For amateur singers, people who have never sung before in their life or professionals.

And what do people need to get started in karaoke?

Really with modern technology all they need now is a laptop. They can download karaoke music from the net, they can play it. If they want to have a karaoke machine then they need a some sort of DVD player, CD player with microphone circuit built in so they can hear themselves singing with their favourite karaoke music.
